As a Registered Nurse, Franck W. Jean-Francois has cared for residents in hospitals, nursing homes, and adult day health centers across New York State. Throughout his nursing career, he repeatedly witnessed a challenge that medical treatment alone could not solve.
Patients were medically ready to receive care but often lacked dependable transportation to physician appointments, dialysis treatments, rehabilitation sessions, diagnostic testing, specialist visits, and other essential healthcare services.
Families struggled to coordinate transportation while balancing work and caregiving responsibilities. Older adults and individuals with disabilities often lost opportunities to remain active and independent simply because reliable transportation was unavailable.
